I asked Jesus Christ to be my Lord and Savior before I was ten years old. I have a heart for service to others. I currently serve as a deacon at my local church and also help with church security. I am also involved with Faculty Commons on my college campus and serve on their advisory council.

Current Research
My research interests are in bioengineering, namely, applying the principles of biology and the tools of engineering to solve today’s most pressing problems. I am also passionate about undergraduate research and seek to maintain a laboratory offering opportunities for chemical engineering students interested in biotechnology research. My current program of research has three main thrusts: (1) alternative energy solutions; (2) renewable routes to commodity chemicals; and (3) novel strategies for disease prevention and treatment.
