I moved to France to live for a year with a French family of 6 kids when I was 15. I thought it would be great, which it was. I also thought it would be easy, which it definitely was not. At the beginning I felt very alone and isolated. After a few weeks of this, I decided to pray and ask God to help me get through this time. He did and I can't really explain how he did it, but over time things started to get better and I felt at peace in my inability to communicate with people that were around me. In short, God answered my prayers. Since that time, I have struggled with various issues - anxiety about school, anxiety about relationships, loneliness, etc. But, God has always helped me through these situations. The most important thing to me and my family today is our relationship with God, enabled by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
