I am often asked when I plan to retire. I respond - one retired from work. I don’t work. I teach. While I never planned to go into education, it is clear God had other plans for my life. I have been blessed to live a life both in education and industry. I love the combination. While education keeps me in touch with new young people, industry keeps me in touch with my graduates. It’s a great combo. While I enjoy challenging my computer science students to learn how to teach computers how to think, I also get to challenge them how to think. It’s a blast! Beats work. At least when you love what your doing it doesn’t seem much like work.
