Danae Dinkel

I was blessed to be born into a Christian family. While going to church and taking part in other church-related activities was a part of my normal life growing up, once I went to college I had a negative interaction with a Christian-based group that turned me away from my faith. After I graduated with my undergrad degree, I started to feel a pull to find a church. Then my mom gave me a new bible for Christmas, and I felt a desire to start reading the bible from beginning to end and I am so glad I did. The following year my mom was diagnosed with cancer. I believe that God was preparing me for this incredibly difficult time. Unfortunately, my mom did not win her battle but this was big event in my life that led me closer to God and reliance on him.
