I grew up going to church faithfully with my family and considered myself a pretty decent Christian. At the age of 15 however, I realized my faith was built entirely on my parents and that I had to make the decision to make my walk with Jesus Christ personal. It was this choice to begin reading my Bible and praying that prepared me for my college years at UGA where I was challenged with what I believed. The Lord placed wise Christian mentors in my path through the local church and campus ministries that helped me grow. Following Christ has been difficult but rewarding. I’ve heard my pastor say that if there was no heaven promised to believers, he still believed following Christ in this life is worth everything. I wholeheartedly agree.
