Jill Channing

My life's journey began in a quaint Ohio town, where there weren't many distractions. Growing up, my family was a regular presence at our local church, and it was within those church walls that my spiritual foundation was laid. My story isn't just about the joys; it's about the struggles and how Christ met me in those tough times. As a young person, I often felt unworthy of God's love. I grappled with doubts and insecurities, wondering if I would ever truly measure up. But over the years, I came to understand something profound: God's love isn't contingent on our worthiness. Despite my flaws and imperfections, I discovered that God loves me unconditionally, and that realization transformed my life. One of the most incredible blessings in my journey has been finding a spouse who shares my spiritual beliefs. Together, we've made attending church a regular part of our lives. But our faith isn't confined to Sunday mornings. We've created a kind of mini monastery within our home—a sanctuary for prayer and meditation where we can seek peace and commune with the Lord. We also share our faith with those that we meet in our community and workplaces. Sharing my faith is a fundamental aspect of who I am. Whether I'm in the classroom as a teacher or counseling someone through life's exciting and challenging moments, I find opportunities to impart the wisdom and grace I've received through my faith journey. I've learned that actions often speak louder than words. It's better to live a life that reflects the Gospel's teachings and let others draw their own conclusions about Christ's transformative power. I strive to be an example of Christ's love and compassion in all aspects of my life. Jesus is undeniably the hero of my story. He has been my constant companion through both the best and darkest times. I've learned to depend on Him, to seek solace in His presence, and to find strength in His teachings. One of the most important lessons I've embraced is the idea that our faith is not exclusive or exclusionary. It's about inclusivity and love. Our God is a God of hope and love, and His love extends to every single person, without exception. It's this all-encompassing love that fuels my passion for reaching out to others with kindness and acceptance. In a world that can sometimes feel divided and harsh, I believe it's our duty to love one another as God loves us. We're called to be beacons of hope and love, demonstrating that God's love knows no boundaries. Sharing our faith isn't about conversion; it's about spreading the message of love, grace, and inclusivity that defines our faith. Jesus is indeed the hero of our lives, and by following His example, we can lead others to discover His boundless love and unending grace.
