I was born in South Korea, and adopted to a family living in Houston, TX. I was raised in a semi-Christian household. My mother is a Christian and my father is not. I became a Christian in middle school, but I really started to develop my faith in college at Texas A&M attending a Bible Church. I met a retired philosophy professor after graduating, and decided to pursue philosophy full time. I received my MA in Philosophy from the University of Houston in 2017 and PhD from Rice in 2024.
