Mary Douglass Smith

I am fortunate to have grown up in a Christian home and always having Jesus as a part of my life. Shortly after I got married, my mom passed away and I went through a trial of grief, confusion, and a test of my faith. I learned so much about the gospel and myself during that time. Now I love to provide support and hope to my friends and students who have to go through a grieving process and be a sounding board and source of encouragement for them.

Favorite Quote

“Yes I'll make a resolution that I'll never make another one. Just enjoy this ride on my trip around the sun.” - Jimmy Buffett “The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4: 5-7
