Nate Callender

God rescued me from a rebellious youth and redirected my energies to His Word and academic pursuits. I felt drawn to teaching when in graduate school and began coteaching an adult Sunday school class. God had been sowing His Word in my life throughout childhood, but upon redirecting my life, His Word began to take root and grow. Reading scripture, preparation for teaching scripture, and presenting scripture to a class felt natural. Teaching as a profession became a reality when an instructor of mathematics position was offered at Dyersburg State Community College near my bride's and my hometown. After teaching mathematics for several years, an offer to accept an assistant professor position in the Aerospace Department of Middle Tennessee State University was made. I know that the Lord has placed me in this University to make Him known.
