Roger Gonzalez

I grew up in a family of 6 siblings in a low-income part of town. Our parents were uneducated but were highly supportive of all our educational pursuits and taught us to work hard. We always had respect for The Almighty but not much depth. During my freshman year in college, I accepted Christ through the ministry of The Navigators. Since then, over the last 40+ years, I have seen God do many incredible things in my life to help me overcome my own weaknesses and failures. My wife and I still serve within The Navigators helping staff marriages stay healthy. Today, I have the best job in the world, being a professor. I love to interact with young minds and those who are hungry to learn and grow. To me, faith is not just what I think and do but also who it makes me be. While not perfect, I continually see that God is working for good to help me be more than I could ever be. As a professor, my students are my ultimate joy. They are my professional legacy and have given much to my life. I love to play tennis and hang out with friends doing things!
