I am so grateful to have grown up in a Christian home in a small town in Alabama. I accepted Christ and was baptized when I was 10 but really came to fully surrender all of my life to Him when I was 24. The next year, I got married, and my husband and I moved to Fort Worth where he went to seminary, and I worked in the seminary library for eight years. It was incredibly encouraging and challenging to dive deep into theology resources while also equipping those who were going to serve the church vocationally. After I completed my PhD, I worked in a variety of academic library positions and have landed at UNT. We are active in our church in Richardson, Texas, where I serve on the prayer ministry team. I am passionate about the power of prayer in general and the impact of corporate prayer on the local church specifically. God has been very gracious to me through many life circumstances--some wonderful, others terrible. Through them all, I have seen His faithfulness to my family, in our church, and through my work.
